What You Need: Yoga Mat and towel. If you do not have these items, you can rent or buy them at the studio. The room is heated so be prepared to sweat. Women, wear shorts and a sports bra or a leotard. Men, wear running shorts or a swim suit.

Caution: Deodorants, sprays and perfumes damage the lungs after hot yoga. You are requested to leave these items at home.

What to expect: All classes are ninety minutes in length. Show up fifteen minutes before class. The room is heated, so be prepared to sweat. The heat is the fastest way to detoxify the body. Come to class hydrated. Drink plenty of water before and after class. All classes are the same twenty-six posture series, and are for all levels regardless of your previous training.

Suggestions: Attend frequently. Do not eat for 2-3 hours before class. If you feel dizzy, sit down on your knees, breath, through the nose. Stay in the room. Surrender – give yourself time to learn. Making mistakes is hot! Never compare yourself to others. Focus on yourself.
